The National Office of Crafts and the House of Artisan of Morocco signed, Wednesday, September 26, at the headquarters of the Ministry in Tunis under the chairmanship of Salma Elloumi-Rekik, Minister of Tourism and Handicraft, in the presence the Moroccan ambassador to Tunisia, members of the Moroccan delegation and Tunisian administrators of the sector administration, a twinning convention, which aims to develop and promote the craft sector at the national and international levels.

This twinning comes at the end of the work of the joint Tunisian-Moroccan committee of crafts held in Tunisia from 25 to 27 September 2018.

This bilateral cooperation revolves around several axes relating to the exchange of studies, skills and visits. It also covers investment, craft financing, communication and promotion, as well as the legislative framework of the sector in both countries.

On this occasion, the Minister highlighted the importance of the sector in Tunisia and the mobilization of the government for the benefit of its development by indicating that this interest was declined in a national program of development of the craft, already implemented and will span the next four years. She also said that this kind of cooperation can only serve the best craftsmanship in both countries.

The signature of the twinning agreement was made by Faouzi Ben Halima Director General of ONA and Abdallah Adnani General Director of the Moroccan House of Crafts.
